The hard drive is a 1 TB 5400 rpm drive, and, while 1 TB is a decent amount of hard drive space, the solid-state drive would have been the better choice to install in this one. A solid-state drive provides a much smoother experience in comparison to the regular HDD storage. The laptop comes with 3 USB 3.0 ports and the processor in this unit is an i5. It has 8 GB of RAM and weighs just under 4 pounds.
If you’re wanting a basic laptop that will be utilized for business and office use, the Tecra C40-D is an ideal choice. If you’re seeking something that will run the latest games and video editing software, then this one won’t do the job.
The No-Worry Laptop - Toshiba Tecra Z40-B
Users will like that the Tecra Z40-B doesn’t come loaded with a bunch of software that they don’t need, commonly known as bloatware. The battery in this laptop is decent and the screen is nice and bright. It is an ideal choice for those that require a device for business and office use. The Toshiba Portege Z30-C is a middle-range business laptop designed for people who want to get the job done. The majority of business users want a machine that won’t bog down when they are multitasking on it. The Z30-C boasts an Intel Core i5 processor which has benchmarks that are very competitive with other laptops on the market. It also contains 8 GB of RAM. As opposed to the other Toshiba laptops, this one contains a solid-state drive, and that means file transferring and other things will be a breeze. One downside to this one is that the resolution is still only 1366 x 768, which is a little dated. The brightness, contrast, and colours on the display are also on the lower end. Toshiba is constantly trying to fit as much into one package as possible, and while the Z30-C comes close, it falls in a few areas.
There are a total of 3 USB ports on this laptop, which is a welcome and convenient thing to have. If you’re a gamer, this laptop, unfortunately, won’t do the job and won’t meet your expectations. But, that’s not what it was designed to do anyways. If you’re seeking a laptop that has good performance power, multiple ports on it, and a good battery, then this will make for a good purchase. If you’re looking for a laptop for watching movies on, gaming, and any type of graphic of video editing, then this won’t meet your expectations.
